For awhile it felt important to track my exercise, especially what I was learning in judo. But most of the time it just made me feel bad, like I should be doing more. As much as I still love my judo people, I&amp;#8217;m less and less excited about judo itself. Now that I&amp;#8217;m a brown belt, the one tournament I&amp;#8217;ve gone to (unblogged - I won one round of three against an older woman I outweighed, and got beat up by a bunch of teenage black belts) was a miserable panic-attack filled experience, and every practice is punctuated by just how much I hurt. But I&amp;#8217;m following more and more people, just happy at what awesome people are out there, and I want to learn to share more of what&amp;#8217;s going on a bit like they do. So maybe sometimes I&amp;#8217;ll find something I want to say here. What&amp;#8217;s the worst thing that can happen? I did uchi mata and o uchi - wisdom acquired: uchi mata depends on getting your hip into their gut, gotta be pretty close. pulling the jacket all the way over the shoulder really helps with o uchi. a little out of breath, but not too bad. last of the crappy faux protein drinks. eh randori.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;thursday: judo - complicated turnovers/pins that I don&amp;#8217;t think I can describe that well. but class went pretty good, and I managed to use both the complicated turnover and the super simple one from last week in naiwaza. oh, protein shake around 5. I am now officially a believer in protein shakes around 5 for not dying during judo.&lt;/p&gt;
