judo classes 187 and 188
tuesday: tag, leaning on each other pushups, build up setups for o uchi and osoto - break the grip (I found it worked better to just grab the sleeve and come in during randori) keeping a grip on the sleeve with the off hand. come in close and throw your on hand around their neck/over their shoulder. take a spinning step to take them into a wide stance/off balance position. come right in for o uchi, or o soto, but for o soto, don’t for get to take one more step with your off foot to get in deep enough.
thursday: we did over 100 situps to start with. the horrible jump up and down and get pushed on the up drill. then turtle spin drills. then naiwaza. which just went terribly, I felt like I couldn’t do ANYTHING right. Kevin rescued me and started teaching me the first kata. I learned two new throws for it, in that way where I’m not sure I’ll be ok with throwing someone from kata garuma (fireman’s carry)
saturday: 35 minutes elliptical, level3
