judo classes 180 and 181. tournament #8
sunday: 35 minutes elliptical
tuesday: judo: more working on breaking the grip to lead into harai or tai o. some randori
thursday: judo: beginner class in an attempt to ward off pre-tournament injury. lots of psa psi, some uki/tori randori. some uchikomis.
friday: 40 minutes elliptical, level 2
saturday: 10th Denver Classic
5 divisions.
masters: not great fights, and I landed on my head really good in the second one. as much as it annoyed met at the time, probably really good that I had a long break between this division and the next one. (two fights, two different people)
novice: bleh. I tried some things. They didn’t work. Then I got tani o tochi. Both fights. (two fights, two different people)
seniors: I barely even made them work for it. (two fights, two different people)
masters open: same people as masters, same outcome, but without the landing on my head this time.
seniors open: surprisingly not so quick result with OTC(?) fighter, predictably short and sweet loss to katie, too short of a fight with my wrestler friend from the last tournament.
I don’t feel like anything I’ve been working on worked. Which annoys me. Coaches came up with some ideas of things to work on though, so there’s a next step in place.
